Position Summary:

We are seeking a Building Maintenance Technician at our Batavia, OH location. This role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks that require physical labor within the plant. Their role is to ensure the smooth operation of the facility by assisting with basic maintenance, cleaning, and other tasks as needed.

Work You'll Do:

Assisting with the setup and breakdown of equipment, furniture, racking, and workstations.
Perform routine repairs and handle general upkeep to keep facilities and equipment in optimal condition.

Routine inspections of Safety items such as Fire Extinguishers, Eyewash stations and ladders.

Assisting with basic maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and replacing light bulbs.
Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.
Removing and disposing of waste and recycling.
Moving items around the facility as needed.
Assisting with inventory management.
Following all health and safety regulations.
Handling and transporting items and equipment (racking and smaller equipment).
Uses hand tools and drills to complete basic repairs.
Assist with general grounds maintenance.

Team:

This role will be a part of the Batavia, OH Facility Maintenance team reporting directly to the Facility Maintenance Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic math skills, the ability to read and understand technical manuals.
Effective communication skills.
Familiarity with hand and power tools.
Good manual dexterity and physical stamina, as the job can involve heavy lifting and working in uncomfortable positions.
Good understanding of safety procedures.
Ok to work in different heights, environments, and conditions
Valid Driver's License(to use company van).

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to safely operate mobile equipment (fork trucks, ariel lifts, etc.)
Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience with electronic devices and computers
Prior experience operating mobile equipment including fork trucks and ariel lifts.
High school diploma or equivalent knowledge
