Chemistry Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary
Teach introductory or general chemistry courses appropriate to the candidate's qualifications. At Bethel, we offer classes that are 1, 2 or 4 credits. Adjunct load will vary based on capabilities of the Adjunct Professor and needs of the department. We pay $1,250 per credit hour for in person courses.

Responsibilities
Prepare syllabi, deliver lectures (in person), grade assignments, and provide assistance to students as necessary
Demonstrate commitment to the liberal arts educational mission and evangelical Christian orientation of the University
Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline

Skills
Ability to teach undergraduate students
Reliability and dependability
Ability to actively assess student comprehension
Ability to cooperate constructively with other instructors teaching the same or similar courses

Experience
Record of successful college teaching preferred.

Education
Minimum of master's degree in Chemistry or a related field required.

Additional Information
Compensation:

$1,250 per credit hour for face-to-face instruction.
