<b>About the Opportunity:</b></b>

<b>Job Purpose:</b>
<br>
<br>Implement and manage environmental, health, and safety plans and policies to ensure a safe and healthy workforce and work environment.<br>
<br>
<b>Essential Job Functions:</b>
<br>
<ul>
<li>Proactively inspect the facility to identify and resolve safety, health, and environmental risks</li>
<li>Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs/policies, training, and metrics to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and federal, state, and local regulations</li>
<li>Manage, review, and audit AIC Safety Management System in accordance with corporate guidelines</li>
<li>Serve as technical resource to management (to achieve overall environmental, safety operational and business objectives) and employees regarding safety and environmental concerns</li>
<li>Lead and participate in the following programs:<ul>
<li>Safety Committee, Ergonomic Committee, General Workplace Inspection (GWI) program, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Job Safety Analysis (JSA) system</li></ul></li>
<li>Manage the Incident Investigation Report (IIR) process and participate in the analysis of all safety incidents and near misses with department managers to define and deploy safety solutions</li>
<li>Monitor and oversee environmental programs with consultant/auditor and facilities team to ensure compliance and best practices</li>
<li>Ensure Safety Data Sheets are maintained and readily accessible</li>
<li>Manage the Site Security System and related practices</li>
<li>Subject matter expert on all safety, compliance, regulatory and related insurance requirements</li></ul>

<b>Qualifications and Skills Needed:</b>
<br>
<br>Required<br>
<br>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in industrial safety or related field and 3 years' management experience with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations within an industrial/manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge of OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations and policies</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communications skills and experience training diverse groups.</li>
<li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Ability to travel to other Life Fitness locations as needed</li></ul>
<br>Preferred<br>
<ul>
<li>Strong knowledge and understanding of ergonomic programs and analysis tools.</li>
<li>OSHA General Industry 10- or 30-hour training course</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office skills. Experience with Oracle and/or SolidWorks is a plus</li></ul>

<b>Working Conditions:</b>
<br>
<br>Requires lifting of 35 lbs. occasionally and a combination of shop floor and office environment. In most areas of shop floor, hearing protection is required.<br>
