JOB REQUIREMENTS: Specimen Control and Receiving Tech - 30278
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : 100% FTE, day shift. Start
times range from 8:00AM - 9:00AM with flexibility required based on
operational need. Every 4 th Saturday shift 7:30AM - 1:30PM. When
working Saturday, you will have one day off during the week and an
additional 2 hours added. Hours may vary based on the operational needs
of the department. Pay : \* External hires may be eligible for up to a

laboratory experience to UW Health. We are seeking a Specimen Control
and Receiving Tech - Eastpark Medical Center Lab to: \* Receive
specimens and research kits into the laboratory , check for correct
labeling, enter tests into Laboratory Information System, process
specimens, and load them onto instruments or direct to appropriate work
station, technologist, or storage area. \* Basic instrument maintenance
(temperatures, monitoring reagents) and clerical duties (filing,
mailing, faxing). \* Interact daily with pathologists, physicians,
technologists, clinical staff, nursing unit personnel, and patients. At

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education : Minimum - High school diploma
or equivalent. Preferred - Some post-secondary education in a healthcare
or a related science field that may include course work in Medical
Laboratory Technician, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnician or Medical
Laboratory Scientist degree/certification. Work Experience : Minimum -
Six months experience in lab, healthcare, customer service or data entry
role Preferred - One-year healthcare or lab related work experience
Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - Preferred - Medical Laboratory
Assistant (MLA) certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
