Description



Northwest Respiratory Services seeks a Health Information Specialist at our Eagan, MN central office. This person is responsible for routing incoming faxes/documentation to appropriate departments and staff within our company. This role involves creating workflows, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely review of documents. Additionally, they will support the Patient Intake department as needed and performs various clerical tasks.
Pay: $19-$22
Schedule: 8:00am - 5:30pm, Monday-Friday and one Saturday per month.

A Day in the Life:
Monitor and route all incoming faxes to appropriate departments; Creating workflows, assigning to staff, and sending to departments for review.
Phone work includes calling various referrals for clarification on faxes/documentation received as needed.
Maintaining fax contact information within the MyForms system for easy identification.
Assigning/Splitting not in systems accounts and Equipment Setup Batches.
Reviewing documentation received for pending work and follow up.
Working other various clerical tasks as needed
Serving as support staff for the Intake department and helping with various Intake work as needed.
Qualifications

Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Punctual and dependable
Understanding of HIPPA laws to handle confidential personal and medical information
Familiar with medical lingo
Additional, preferred skills:
Previous experience in DME/HME documentation or billing
Knowledge of Brightree software a plus!
Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel
