Job Description:

Join General Dynamics IT (GDIT) and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. The Code 50 White Collar (Machinery Controls) program is seeking a Configuration Manager to join them in Philadelphia, PA.

As a Configuration Manager , you will provide oversight, direction, and administration functions in support of the software development team.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the development and execution of the configuration management process for installation related documentation and work products (hardware and software).

  • Maintain configuration controls of documentation and software updates from vendors and other technical departments and provide analysis of any potential impacts that updates would have on CS/IS.

  • Assist with identifying drawing discrepancies, configuration issues, equipment deficiencies, and special or operational interference.

  • Implement and maintain proper configuration management of equipment, software, and documentation using processes compliant with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3, in accordance with locally established Quality Assurance (QA) configuration control practices.

  • Implement configuration version control practices and processes (checkout/check-in, version number control, system/software baselines, merge, build, testing, and release) to software, hardware, requirements, firmware, images, technical manuals, test procedures, and support documentation.

  • Provide configuration version control using locally established forms, templates, databases, and applications (GIT, Telelogic DOORS, Sharepoint, Excel, Word, Access, and Project).

  • Perform configuration management of control system software and documentation in accordance with the approved SEP Configuration Management Plan using software version control tools.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics from an ABET accredited program; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Configuration Manager

  • Experience with requirements management using DOORS

  • Experience with software configuration management specifically as it relates to libraries of multiple software baselines, version control, tracking unique updates to software builds, and conducting diffs of source code

  • Experience with technical writing

  • Experience with Waterfall software development life cycle

  • Security+

  • Secret clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $80,226 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
