Learn more at www.cretexmedical.com.<br> <br> <strong>Set-Up Technician Position Summary</strong> <br> <br>Setup Technicians are responsible for the set-up and tear downs of injection molds in molding equipment, set-up of required auxiliary equipment, complete first piece inspection of production run, ensure equipment is running at prescribed cycle per work instructions, and assist, where necessary, press operators. <br> <br> <strong>Shift Available: </strong> <br> <br>9th Shift: Thursday-Saturday and every other Sunday, 6:30pm-7am<br> <b>Responsibilities</b> <br> <br> <strong>Set-Up Technician Duties and Responsibilities</strong> <ul> <li>Locate, transport, install and store injection molds in accordance with established guidelines Prepare auxiliary and second support equipment as required at the press </li> <li>Monitor presses and alarms and troubleshoot issues </li></ul> <ul> <li>Follows proper setup checks and floor operation procedures </li> <li>Trouble shoot the manufacturing process to diagnose and resolve anticipated or actual manufacturing problems that may affect product quality </li> <li>Maintain part quality by completing audits and documenting defective parts </li> <li>Clean molds </li> <li>Understand the operating characteristics and capabilities of all manufacturing machinery, equipment, and controls </li></ul> <ul> <li>Develop and document set-up sheets as required for new tooling, major tooling changes, process changes, and special tests </li> <li>Keep the Engineering Department and the Master Scheduler informed about the technical status of new jobs and projects </li> <li>Verify documents and logs are accurate and completed in a timely manner </li> <li>Reads and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists </li> <li>Enters production information into the ERP system on a timely basis </li></ul> <ul> <li>Accurately records and reports hours worked </li> <li>Maintains an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms </li> <li>Participates in the Operational Excellence Program </li> <li>Understands and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual </li> <li>Adheres to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required </li></ul> <ul> <li>Supports and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements </li> <li>Completes all other work duties as assigned </li></ul> <b>Qualifications</b> <br> <br> <strong>Set-Up Technician Requirements</strong> <ul> <li>Ability to perform set-up for new molds and highly complex molds as directed </li> <li>Knowledge of plastic resins, mold setup and functions of an injection molding press </li> <li>Ability to create and route reports and communications </li> <li>Ability to present information to individuals or small groups </li> <li>Knowledge of basic Math </li></ul> <ul> <li>Ability to operate a forklift and overhead cranes </li> <li>Ability to promote and maintain a safe work environment </li> <li>Minimum of 3 years of experience </li> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li> <li>Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents </li></ul> <ul> <li>Mechanical Aptitude </li> <li>Dexterity and hand and eye coordination </li> <li>Attention to detail </li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills </li> <li>Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks </li></ul> <br> <strong>Set-Up Technician Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</strong> <ul> <li>Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) </li></ul>
