Our Gastroenterology Practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to perform duties within the scope of responsibility of a medical assistant with additional tasks related to patient flow in the office. Duties include, but are not limited to, escorting patient into the clinical area, taking vital signs and documenting them in the patient record; obtaining history of the current visit and documenting information in the patient's record; stock exam rooms, clean and organize exam room between patient encounters with a thorough clean up at the end of each day.

REQUIREMENTS:  High school graduate or equivalent; successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program; two years of general experience as a medical assistant in a patient care or clinic environment. Must be able to take and pass the AMT, AAMA or CMA certification exam within 6 months of date of hire; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
