Job Summary
Under the direction of a radiologist, performs ultrasound examinations at a
technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of
technical imaging procedures that require independent judgment, appropriate
technical skills in ultrasonography, and a commitment to patient
safety, all of which are considered requisite professional characteristics
for individuals assuming the position as a sonographer.
Essential Functions:
Performs high quality US imaging studies by selecting specific software
parameters that will produce a quality image for use by radiologists in their
