provides energy industry solutions new equipment, retrofits,
maintenance, outage planning and more for current and future power
generation needs in the Americas, including thermal, hydro, and nuclear
power plants. Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated CNC
Tech to work out of our Milwaukee Service Center. This employee will be
responsible for performing highly diversified and highly skilled duties
to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, maintenance, building and
facilities. The employee will use experience and extensive knowledge to
complete work orders with use of skilled maintenance techniques
including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, heating, air
conditioning, knowledge of CNC mechanical / electrical repair also the
capability of reading and using diagnostic / ladder logic. Essential
Duties Perform complex mechanic skills including, but not limited to,
troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic,
hydraulic, cranes, and welding equipment. Read and interprets mechanical
/ electrical equipment manuals to diagnose, adjust, and/or repair,
machine malfunctions and operating difficulties during emergency and
unscheduled down-time Rebuild complicated machines, components, and
attachments, to involve dismantling, inspection, machining, or
replacement of purchased parts Perform advanced mechanic activities
relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and
equipment, including disconnection and reconnection, dismantling and
erecting, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations Perform all
segments of maintenance on the building, facilities, and the grounds
Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machine, production, and all
facilities equipment Perform preventive maintenance on heating,
ventilating, and air conditioning units Maintain required maintenance
logs and files Submit purchasing requests for additional parts and
service Assist Supervisor in determining the nature and scope of
projects and the requirements for completion May direct work and assist
in training of less experienced maintenance staff Follow all clean up
and housekeeping procedures Comply with all quality, safety, and
sanitation regulations Work safely and follow Toshiba\'s Safety Policy
May assist with training and direction of lesser-skilled personnel
Complete other tasks as assigned by Supervisor Tools/Equipment Hand and
power tools, machine tools, new equipment use as required Forklift or
scissor lift use required Limited computer and basic office equipment
use Education and Required Experience Requires one to three years of
trades training and three to five years of progressively responsible
related experience, or eight to ten years of progressively responsible
related experience Expert mechanical aptitude and experience with
ability to perform complex troubleshooting and rebuilds Must be
certifiable for Fork Truck operation Must be able to work at altitudes
of 100ft. maximum Must be trainable to operate a boom lift and scissor
lift Must have the ability to work independently Ability to train and
direct others Physical Requirements (The physical demands described here
are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job.) Adjust
machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within
specified tolerances. Replace worn tools, and sharpen dull cutting tools
and dies, using bench grinders or cutter-grinding machines. Inspect
sample workpieces to verify conformance with specifications, using
instruments such as gauges, \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: Essential Duties Study blueprints, sketches, drawings,
manuals, specs, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances
of finished work. Determine sequence of operation. Select, align, and
secure holding fixtures and cutting tools. Calculates and sets controls
to regulate machining factors, such as speed, feed, flow, and
depth/angle of cut. Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify
accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. May enter
commands to retrieve, input or edit programs. Start, observe machine
operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-balance machining and adjust
machine as required. May confer with engineers, product personnel,
programmers, or others to resolve machining problems. Perform
inspections at the machine to verify part is to specifications. Perform
daily and weekly maintenance on machines as outlined in preventative
maintenance procedures. Maintain clean and orderly workstations by their
assigned machines. Support supervisor and in process development and
tooling development. Be an active team member in 5-S initiatives. Train
and assist other operators in variety of machine tools. Willingness to
support other departments to meet customer schedules and demands, this
includes but not limited to performing assembly work, running manual
machines like Bridgeport mills and grinders. Operate cranes and fork
trucks. Education and Required Experience Technical schooling in related
field preferred. 5 -10 years\' experience in shop math \*\*\*\*\*
