By using creative strategies to enhance the University’s image, the office promotes the overall mission of North Carolina Central University to its external publics in order to solicit and acquire philanthropic support. |
Primary Purpose of Position | North Carolina Central University seeks a fundraiser for an entry-level position as a junior Development Officer, operating as the Associate Director of Annual Giving. Under the leadership of the Director of Annual Giving, the Associate Director will be responsible for management and oversight of annual giving programs, which include direct mail, phonathon, class reunion giving, e-solicitations & social media activities for Alumni and Friends. In addition, the selected candidate will work with other staff members to maximize fundraising productivity, provide staff support at special events, develop productive working relationships with key volunteers, and perform other duties as assigned. |

Minimum Education/Experience | Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two – four years of successful fundraising experience in annual giving or direct marketing with demonstrated results. |
