Your Role and Responsibilities
[Job Description]The Partner Sales Manager will manage Apptio’s alliance partner relationships and drive effective sales and marketing efforts with partners to win new business. Work closely with partner field sales, Apptio sales and pre-sales teams to drive resale and co-selling opportunities. Participate with partners in prospect meetings as needed.
Coordinate and provide partner training, development, and certification for partner enablement.
Utilize established processes to measure and track the effectiveness of leads, contracts, and channels among partners.
Work closely with the Strategic Alliances and Business Development teams to execute the sales strategy and provide support and input to the overall enterprise-level alliance management and alliance strategy.
Work closely with Partners and Channel Marketing to drive collaborative lead generation marketing programs with key partners.
Facilitate partner communications and communicate our message and solutions to partners and customers through a variety of channels, including newsletters, seminars, partner web portals, and partner advisory boards.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
∙ Proven track record and experience in channel sales and marketing
∙ Willingness to provide accurate and detailed tracking and reporting of all partner related field activity
∙ Ability to work closely with sales teams to deliver direct sales and partner order agreements
Minimum of 5 years in channel sales or partner management for enterprise software; IT knowledge a plus
Ability to develop new networks and build relationships.
Excellent listening, communication, presentation, problem solving and time management skills
∙ Enthusiasm, energy, creativity and drive. Self-starter and able to get the job done.
∙ Ability to set revenue and order contract, marketing, and relationship goals for each partner and manage and execute account plans
∙ Basic English proficiency
