Description
Spok is seeking a Sr. Software Developer, Lead (full stack) responsible for the development of and helping to architect the modernization of threeof our call center applications, through creation of a common platform and services. This person will work closely with the Enterprise Products Architect, Product Management, and the various teams of developers to work toward the design and implementation of common components across the entire Spok suite of products. This person will develop, enhance, and innovate solutions to improve the customer experience, specifically starting with the integration of an API Gateway, providing a single common RESTful API for new services that will mediate the product specific APIs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
>Oversee and lead the project of implementing an Open-Source API Gateway, working with the 5 teams. (Mobile/Web, Messaging infrastructure, and 3 consoles) to define an API set, and map to the legacy services.
>Participate in design and development architecture of new features.
>Work with product owner to ensure that requirements and acceptance criteria are met.
>Analyze existing solutions to highlight areas for improvements.
>Participating and influencing conversations during team ceremonies; backlog refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
>Support the application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support).
>Follow established development, documentation, testing and deployment processes.
>Provide development support for integration of solutions that will work with existing applications in the field.
>Assisting the team to troubleshoot and quickly resolve critical production issues.
>Assisting the team with technical documentation of installation and configuration guides.
>Stay current with and anticipate technology evolutions.
>Work cross functionally and interdepartmentally to resolve complex customer problems.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 6+ years of comparable experience

>Strong experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer
>Strong Experience with .NET and C#
>Experience converting legacy applications
>Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
>Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular Experience with XML and JSON
>Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL, Oracle
>JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Angular
>Experience working with CI/CD Pipelines
>Experience with API Frameworks and Gateways - specifically working with XML, SOAP, REST and working with WSO2 or other API Gateways
>>>No direct reports, but will be responsible for mentoring engineers on technology, code, use of development tools, and doing code reviews.

Desired Experience (a plus)
>Experience working in a Healthcare IT/clinical environment or Call Center application
>Understanding of VB6
>Understanding ofcontainers (Docker, etc.)
>C++ / MFC
>Experience with AI generative tools
>Experience with cloud-based technologies
>Experience implementing modular software components
>Experience with SSO and IAM standards-based solutions
