Amentum is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst III to assist our Navy customer with systems and technical engineering services. We will implement your expertise through a disciplined and rigorous Systems Engineering (SE) process across all mission areas of the system under development and sustainment.

Using your prowess and experience, help our customer define, document, and follow an open systems approach using modular design, standards-based interfaces, and widely supported consensus-based standards in hardware, software, subsystems, and elements that comprise the specific system.

Computer Systems Analyst II Responsibilities Include:

  • Solving computer problems and apply computer technology to meet the individual needs of an organization.

  • Defining the goals of the system and divide the solutions into individual steps and separate procedures.

  • Typical techniques are structured analysis, data modeling, information engineering, mathematical model building, sampling, and cost accounting.

  • Specifying the inputs to be accessed by the system, design the processing steps, and format the output to meet users’ needs.

  • Preparing cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to help management decide whether implementing the proposed technology will be financially feasible.

  • After system acceptance, determining what computer hardware and software will be needed to set the system up.

  • Coordinate tests and observe the initial use of the system to ensure that it performs as planned.

  • Preparing specifications, flow charts, and process diagrams for computer programmers to follow.

  • Working with programmers to debug the system.

  • Must be proficient in both programming and systems analysis. Work with databases, object-oriented programming languages, client-server applications development, virtualization of capability, and multimedia and Internet technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

  • At least seven (7) or more years professional experience in computer systems analysis preferably Navy training systems.

  • Cyber-Information Technology (IT)/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Basic Level knowledge and skills, at a minimum, with a certification in IA standards and policies
