Cook I is responsible to assist in preparing, cooking and serving of food. Responsible for following production schedules, standard operating procedures, recipe cards and specific instructions that include progressive cooking preparation and cooking times. Inspects and tastes food during preparation to ensure the standards of quality are met. Ensures that all items assigned are prepared in accordance to the recipes and production schedules. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures and operation of standard kitchen equipment. Must have the ability to follow instructions and work well with people. One-year institutional cooking and baking experience desired. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, provide own cook white uniform, or until company uniform is issued.
Hours:
2nd Shift - 12:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Rate: $18.11 per hour
