Job Description
DESCRIPTION: Kensho Technologies LLC seeks a Sr. Applied Scientist who will independently develop and deploy features across an entire Machine Learning (ML) application. Incorporate new/unfamiliar frameworks with ease after initial research and evaluation. Mentor and partner with junior teammates. Prioritize and plan future developments of projects. Serve as a team expert on particular tools and/or technologies. Stay up to date with latest modeling architectures and trends. Quickly diagnose ML-related issues, pinpoint problematic areas, and design and implement solutions autonomously. Perform day-to-day maintenance of ML products. Implement tightly scoped features and updates dependencies.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, plus two (2) years of experience as an Applied Scientist or related machine learning occupation. Two (2) years of experience must include: Designing, building, and maintaining production application components focused on Machine Learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), and information retrieval; Curating, scaling, and maintaining hybrid (human labeled and synthetic) data sets for training and evaluating ML systems; Utilizing Python, including experience with Pytorch and Hugging Face; Building ML pipelines for data processing, training, inference, and maintenance for production ML components; Benchmarking and implementing novel ML model architectures from academic literature; Implementing applied research agenda for new ML-based application components including experimentation, benchmarking, evaluation, and consistent versioning.
LOCATION: 55 Water Street, New York, NY 10041 (Telecommuting permitted within normal commuting distance of New York, NY office)
SALARY RANGE: Anticipated base salary range for this position is $195,000 to $206,350. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. Kensho is part of S&P Global and this role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
