As theService LineDirector of Clinical Operations, you will lead day-to-day activities for the Service Line including: leading all aspects of the implementation of initiatives, ensuring an exceptional patient experience, driving process improvement initiatives, reviewing and assessing key performance indicators for the service line and clinics, and providing support to managers and clinic staff on performance, as well as suggestions for improvement!
This Director will be overseeing areas of Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, Pulmonary and Nephrology.



Service Line Director of Clinical Operations Overview

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Actively leads the strategic operations of an expanded area within the clinic(s) including clinics with multi-specialty programs caring for patients with complex and or/acute conditions

Ensures critical initiatives are implemented in a timely and organized manner and handles the business and clinical plans to align with the interpersonal mission

Hires, coaches, rewards, assesses, develops, and engages clinic staff while modeling expected behaviors and holding staff accountable for building an effective team

Assures flexibility of resource utilization as a major objective

Leads clinic performance to improve quality of patient care and experience, and creates an environment for high levels of employee and provider engagement

Resolves escalated patient grievances in a timely and satisfactory fashion

Develops and adheres to clinic budgets with Medical Director/Senior Directors, assuring efficient and effective patient care operations

Serves as a proactive problem-solver

Leads quality improvements and ensures regulatory readiness

Demonstrates ongoing commitment to sharing best practices throughout the organization and acts as a change agent within the cancer care service line



Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or BSN in nursing with management experience, or advanced clinical training and management experience

BLS certification or certification within the orientation period

5+ years of clinical healthcare management experience in complex settings

Track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams of professionals

Successful experience building a healthcare team with embedded flexibility and setting clear expectations

Proven program implementation and quality improvement execution

Exceptional strategic operational leadership, budgeting and fiscal management, business planning, action-orientated, can-do attitude, data-driven decision making, self-aware, decision-making, time management, excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of relevant corporate compliance laws, regulations and policies. Influence, project management, and critical thinking skills
