"Ameriprise Financial has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Risk Management Manager to join our team! The Operational Risk Management Center of Excellence (CoE) partners with second line Risk Offices to ensure that operational risk exposure is known, assessed, and managed effectively. This role will provide risk oversight for the ORM Minimum Standards, provide project support, and serve as a point of contact to ensure appropriate information exchange and to drive forward risk reducing recommendations and actions.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate alignment, resolve escalated issues and provide a point of contact for internal second line Risk Offices. Identify opportunities and recommend solutions to mitigate current and future business risk. Direct and guide initiatives by validating compliance with risk frameworks, including ensuring the soundness of business processes and enhancing processes and documentation as necessary. Support the implementation of risk-centric change initiatives.Review reports illustrating risk parameters and metrics associated with business lines. Develop and enhance risk measurement policies, procedures, and metrics. Enhance risk reporting with new ideas gathered from research, best practices, and knowledge.Build collaborative partnerships with second line Risk Offices that will drive a strong risk culture.Support Risk Control Self Assessments across the business.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelors degree or equivalent.Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.Strong ability to lead, partner, and influence across all leadership levels.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to drive results and meet deadlines to reduce risks.Must be able to work independently.Experience building collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.Proven ability to work effectively in an ambiguous and changing environment.Preferred QualificationsPrevious risk experienceDemonstrated people leadership experience, either through direct leadership or coaching/mentoring roles.Experience with Power BI.Experience with SharePoint.About Our CompanyWe're a diversified financial services leader with more than $1 trillion in assets under management and administration.
