While working as an Athletic Trainer with us, you will have direct patient contact primarily for the evaluation and treatment of medical and musculoskeletal pathology. This is consistent with the scope and practice of athletic training clinical competencies as defined by the BOC for Athletic Training. Our Athletic Trainers will perform many of the outlined tasks with minimal or no supervision in the clinical setting.

 

 

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified Athletic Trainer candidates will need the following:

  • Experience as an Athletic Trainer, or as a physician extender in a clinical setting preferred
  • Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training , Exercise Physiology or other related field
  • Current certification from BOC for Athletic Training
  • BLS from the American Heart Association with 90 days of hire
  • Colorado Department of Regulator Agency Athletic Trainer License or eligible at the time of hire 
  • Kansas license or eligible by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts required (only required for Kansas Locations)
  • Current Driver's License

Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

 

This role will cover our Fort Lewis College and Durango High School needs.  This role has variable shifts and includes weekend coverage.  Our Fort Lewis AT role will travel with the team.  The Durango High School role will travel only if they make the playoffs.
