Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and/or verify software system specifications and requirements documentation, develop support system software capabilities, features, or enhancements.

• Plans, performs, and lead software design, coding, and testing.

• Work with customers and engineers in an adaptive Agile environment, build and maintaining the latest software projects for the navy, and helping expand our software capabilities.

• Primary work location will be in Fredericksburg, VA or Dahlgren, VA with possible telecommute options.

• Communicating status, risks, issues, and ideas for innovation directly to the PM.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics)

• Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance

• Must Know the following programming languages: C/C++, Python, Assembly.

• Must Have over 20 years of Software Development Experience, Software Design experience in DOD Weapons Systems and a current Secret clearance

• Must have experience with the some CI/CD Pipeline and Static Analysis tools such as Jenkins, Coverity, Cppcheck.

Preferred experience:

• Familiarity with the following: RHEL, RTOS-E, Solaris or System-V based Unix, RHEL, FEDORA, or CentOS.

• Experience with and proficient with at least one of the following Object-oriented programming (OOP) languages: C/C++ or Java (at least 25 continuous years of experience in one language family).

• Demonstrate Experience in Sensor systems and Senor Payloads.  Demonstrate Experience/Familiarity with one of the following: STANAG-4586 or STANAG-5516.  Demonstrate Software Development within an Agile Environment.
