Job Description:
Job Summary
We're seeking full-time temporary summer staff (May-August) to perform duties in support of highway maintenance.
Highway Maintenance:
Assists with flagging, mowing and weed whipping.
May also assist with culvert installation and erosion control.
Works four 10-hour days.
Vehicle and equipment cleaning
Adopt a highway garbage pick up
Assists with replacing signs along highways


This job requires being outdoors for long periods of time with hours starting at 6 am.

Work in the field may be hazardous and dirty. Includes working in Traffic areas and work zones. Work will require walking up and down roadway slopes. Outside work 95%, inside work 5% of the time.

This position will be opened until filled.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license is required.
Ability to use power and hand tools.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.
Ability to do basic math calculations

Selection for this position will be based on a minimum qualifications screening and rating of training and experience.
