Job Description:
Viracon LLC
Function:
The primary responsibilities of a Production Lead encompass the following: meet safety goals, maintain production and quality standards at or above budget goals, meet performance-to-plan goals.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Trains new employees and instructs current employees to work safely and efficiently. Recommends personnel actions; i.e. promotions, transfers, pay increases, discipline and discharges. Takes necessary steps to ensure the production of quality products. Conducts timely employees evaluations. Plans and maintains time and work schedules. Completes time and attendance daily accurately. Maintains records and reports relating to her/his area of responsibility. Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation. Participate in Viracon's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
Participates and contributes to committee activities. Interprets and applies company policies, job orders and work specifications. Maintains a clean, organized work area. Cooperates with all departments and assists if needed. Provides employees with prompt and constructive feedback on performance. May perform reasonably similar or related duties as instructed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred but not required. Ability to read and understand work instructions (English). Mathematical skills as related to measurements. Familiar with operating power tools. Ability to take supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member. Must be able to safely perform essential job responsibilities. Regular full-time attendance. Promotes Viracon in a positive manner and obeys all policies.
