At Daikin Applied - we are always striving to make a difference in the way we work and serve those around us. As a Replacement Parts Analyst II - your primary focus is to create the tools needed for internal and external customers to easily and accurately identify replacement parts for our equipment. In addition, the position will be responsible for gathering and organizing specific part information used to provide after-the-sale support (logistics and pricing) which is consistent with parts group goals. As you fulfill your day to day responsibilities, you will play a key role in streamlining our parts identification process and make a real impact on the organization as a whole! We are seeking candidates who are familiar with drafting and or desktop publishing methodologies and who are looking for a long term opportunity with a world-class organization.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Create and maintain draft of RPL (Replacement Parts List)
Identify key replacement parts for existing and/or new products
Read, interpret, and reorganize product configurations into customer-usable formats
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Obtain product details from primarily development engineering and secondarily product groups
Frequent communication (verbal and written) with development engineering groups, desktop publishing, and product suppliers
Creatively obtain product documentation when established methods do not exist
Organize schedules
Review engineering changes and edit RPLs to reflect these changes as needed
Update existing product documentation with improvements in technology (paper RPLs versus CD versus web-based, etc)
Create recommended spare parts based on experience and input from others
Provide leadership for training junior Replacement Parts Analysts
Represent Parts Group on teams for supporting RPL integration with business processes
Establish advanced user level for desktop publishing software suites

Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of technical drafting or documentation experience
Associate's degree or above in technical field
Ability to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Preferred Knowledge and skills
Knowledge of Desktop Publishing tools
