Genesis10 is seeking a Cognos Analytics Developer for a contract with our client in Eagan, MN. 100% Remote.
Job Description:

To keep this tradition alive, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cognos Analytics Developer to join our team.The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing and developing complex business intelligence solutions using Cognos Analytics and will be responsible for leading the deployment of reporting and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Cognos Analytics reports and dashboards
Be a client-facing resource and present professional communications to clients
Gather project requirements from clients and end users
Contribute to the data modeling efforts with Framework Manager, data modules, and data sets
Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members and end users
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Cognos Analytics
Required Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cognos development (Cognos 10 or later)
Strong understanding of Cognos Framework Manager, Report Studio, and Dashboards
Experience with SQL and database design
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Knowledge of data modeling with data modules and data sets is preferred
Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
Proven ability to gather project requirements from customers
3+ years of Cognos dev experience is needed
Client is on v11.1.4 and then moving to newer version later in the year.
Looking for a candidate who can dig into the requirements for clarity with the business partners ; someone can't be expecting waterfall style requirements to be crystal clear in their lap.
They need a report writer they anticipate needing to write about ~40 new reports but that could change
Personality & communication is key; they need someone who understands agile even by nature
Strong documentation skills:
They use agile, jira, confluence they are documenting in detail what they are doing, where they are at, etc.
Healthcare experience is not required
Compensation:
Hourly W2 pay rate $
We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
