OVERVIEW:
This is complex lead-level work that involves a combination of advanced
technical training and skills in the maintenance and operation of traffic
signals and ITS devices. The Sr. Signal Technician may lead the daily
activities of a crew or construction contractors under the general direction
of the Traffic Signal Supervisor. This position is in the Traffic Signal
Systems division, which is under the Public Works Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Must have three years of field experience and/or education involving
knowledge and application of Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices
(MUTCD). This includes the design, construction and maintenance of
traffic signals, the design and installation of signing, and the layout
and installation of striping as it pertains to traffic signals.
A combination of knowledge and experience may be considered.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess a State of Colorado Class (B) Commercial Driver License with
