Position Overview

Come join Davey Tree in our Human Resource department as an HR Compliance Specialist.

Job Duties

HR areas covered, but not limited to, Form I-9 compliance, E-Verify compliance, background screening submissions, various written and verbal reporting regarding unemployment and disability insurance, verifications of employment, invoice processing, Labor Law Poster compliance, and other areas as may be required.
Review and ensure employee application packets are accurate and complete.
Be familiar with USCIS immigration laws and regulations.
Maintain HR records regarding Form I-9 compliance, E-Verify compliance, background screening submissions.
Ensures accurate and necessary information retrieved from employees is documented clearly and thoroughly into employee records on SAP system, the background screening vendor and the DHS E-Verify computer system.
Initiate timely telephone calls, faxes or emails to appropriate supervisory personnel to obtain, document or pass along needed information regarding the Form I-9, E-Verify and background checks.
Process, manage and answer all employment verification requests in a timely manner.
Produce, review and submit unemployment and disability insurance reports.
Process, review and submit for payment various incoming invoices.
Ensure all work is accurate and complete, and processed in a timely manner in accordance with established Company policies, applicable legal requirements and specified deadlines.
Responsible for ensuring HR compliance at all times and work to resolve compliance issues according to Company policies and applicable legal requirements.
Assist with audit requests, as needed.

Qualifications

1-3 years of HR generalist experience.
Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, specifically with MS Word and Excel functions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented, adaptable and flexible.
Ability to effectively manage confidential, complex issues to successful resolution.
Strong sense of service orientation and ability to meet multiple needs.
Proactive with a strong sense of urgency.
Ability to meet deadlines with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Ability to work well within a team.
Knowledge of USCIS Form I-9 and E-Verify requirements a plus.
Knowledge of SAP system a plus.
Knowledge of Successfactors software a plus.
