Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Per Diem Location: Schools within NECSD & Homebound Students Reports To: Clinical Supervisor / Program Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based and home-based speech therapy services to students with disabilities in grades Pre-K to 12. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and implement intervention strategies to support students in achieving their educational goals. Key Responsibilities: Conduct speech-language evaluations for students referred through the Committee on Special Education (CSE). Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on assessment results. Perform feeding and swallowing assessments, if required. Provide direct and indirect therapy to students during school hours. Deliver therapy sessions using evidence-based interventions aligned with ASHA principles. Monitor and document student progress towards IEP goals. Provide therapy services for homebound students, as needed. Maintain detailed treatment logs, progress notes, and reports using IEPDirect or school-mandated systems. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and NYS regulations regarding student data privacy. Page | 1 Participate in IEP meetings to discuss student progress and necessary interventions. Collaborate with teachers, parents, school administrators, and special education teams. Educate families and caregivers on at-home strategies to reinforce speech-language skills. Qualifications & Requirements: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders. New York State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Minimum one year of experience in a school or pediatric setting. Knowledge of IEP documentation and school-based therapy protocols. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse student populations. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus. Prior experience working in New York school districts.
