Preferred qualifications:

  • Candidates will typically have 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in security, compliance, or risk.
  • Product experience.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous, unstructured problems into actionable data-driven analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to explain technical analysis to non-technical partners.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role you will help deliver a consistent frame and approach with an Operational Continuity mindset and thinking to readiness capabilities for Google Cloud Products.

You will facilitate analysis of disruptions and impacts with generating Resilience Impact Analysis (RIA) and Business Continuity Plans which are validated through practical Disaster Recovery Testing (DiRT) to ensure that process and procedures are correctly documented, reviewed, and approved annually. These frameworks are designed against a set of like continuity scenarios and align to Industry, Regulatory, and Customer Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, coordinate, and monitor key risks in context to executive stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Execute end-to-end management of Operational Continuity initiatives projects: anticipate issues and propose solutions, manage dependencies and cross-functional issues, and identify the need to develop or improve tools/processes and evidence.
  • Approach problems from first principles, using a reasoning techniques to research and articulate key risks. 
  • Communicate analysis and decisions to high-level stakeholders and executives in verbal, visual, and written media.
