Job Summary

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Post-Secondary Education from a technical school or strong mechanical ability with one or more years working in an environment that requires mechanical ability. Able to use all hand tools and power tools used in the assembly and manufacturing of heavy equipment. Any experience with hydraulics and pneumatics for heavy equipment would be a plus. Drug test upon offer of employment. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Assembly Mechanic is part of an assembly team responsible for building mobile and industrial equipment that is mounted on a truck chassis or trailer. Assembly Mechanics work together with other team members and other trades to assemble the finest industrial and environmental equipment available. This role is suited to a “jack of all trades” with mechanical knowledge as well as some hydraulic and pneumatic experience. Will possess strong mechanical ability with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn. Assembling components and sub-assemblies per work instructions and the instructions of the team leader. Feedback ideas to team leaders and engineering to improve the product, improve efficiency, and reduce scrap and rework. Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures. Other duties as assigned.
