Follow Us on LinkedIn: The Senior Communications Specialist role will serve as the global B2B enterprises' primary writer for external communications while also managing communication responsibilities for multiple internal stakeholder groups; the generated communication plans will drive positive and lasting business results. Ideal candidates will need to: have a breadth of internal and external communications experience; enjoy both strategic and tactical work; be comfortable working autonomously and meeting competing deadlines; excel at engaging and energizing employees; collaborate at varying levels across the organization, including the CEO and other business leaders; build influential relationships, employ ingenuity and have fun. Role Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and manage communication plans that are realistic, impactful and achievable, taking into account business objectives, audiences, channels, resources and priorities
Manage communication projects through the entire lifecycle, from planning through content creation and distribution to target audiences
Lead press release writing, editing and workflow management, including meeting timelines, enforcing brand voice standards, applying Associated Press (AP) standards and reporting outcomes
Act as a trusted advisor and thoughtful, effective communications partner to senior leaders
Produce social media content and co-manage the global employee advocacy program and associated intranet documentation and training materials
Lead Donaldson Foundation communications
Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute plans for internal and external campaign strategies that complement overarching organizational/business objectives Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in communications, public relations or journalism)
5+ years of experience in a communications role Preferred Qualifications:
Self-starter with strong attention to detail and a focus on results; ability to initiate and manage multiple, competing projects and pivot quickly to meet new demands/changing circumstances and priorities
Excellent writing skills, including proficiency with grammar, punctuation, spelling and AP style
Highly experienced with generating innovative concepts and leveraging collective expertise and relevant data analytics to plan, manage and execute strategic, proactive communications across a variety of platforms
Ability to develop collaborative, productive relationships with internal partners as well as influence and advise business leaders on communication planning, strategies and initiatives with authority, accountability and flexibility
Technical proficiency to leverage the latest social media tools, including the use of reporting tools and scheduling assistants
Proven track record of handling the responses to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation
Previous experience in human resources communications, including knowledge of HR practices, procedures and employee communication applications
