Aerotek Heavy Equipment Operator in Maple Lake, Minnesota

Heavy Equipment Operator

Monday-Friday - 7am start time

$25-$28/HR

Benefits:

  • CDL Program, they will set you up to get CDL A license after 90 days of employment. Once CDL-A license is obtained you'll receive a $2 raise.

Description:

  • Leading utilities contractor seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operator for their local Minnesota team.

  • This position will be year-round, and have consistent overtime in the summer months.

  • Report to shop in Maple Lake, and roll out shotgun with the crew

  • Will be operating backhoe, skid steer, mini-excavator along with labor work when needed

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Operation rubber tire backhoe, mini-excavator, or skid steer

  • Preventative maintenance of equipment

  • Hand dig around existing utilities when necessary

  • Operator tampers, jackhammers, drills, and saws

  • Carry and load materials to be used on the job

  • Light repair and maintenance of tools and equipment

  • Assist in hauling equipment to and from job site

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1 + years of heavy equipment operating experience

  • Hand and power tool experience

  • Ability to submit to MVR check, and obtain DOT card

  • Comfortable operating company vehicle

  • Must be able to work in year round weather conditions

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
