Required Skills: | • Minimum of one of the following: o Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields and 2000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to recipients with mental illness or substance use disorder required. o Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields and has completed an internship/practicum with direct interaction with adult or child clients. o Has 4000 hours of work experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with a mental illness or substance abuse disorder. • Experience working with individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) as well as knowledge of and ability to intervene appropriately in crisis prevention and de-escalation when necessary. • Demonstrated ability to interact with individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. • Able to work independently within established guidelines and with limited supervision or assistance while communicating clearly and effectively with other professionals in verbal and written formats. • Flexible in meeting scheduling needs, preserves confidentiality of recipient information, and institutes appropriate boundaries. |

Job Description: |
Opening for a Mental Health Practitioner at our Willow Tree Crisis Stabilization Facility
The Mental Health Practitioner will provide crisis assessment and stabilization services to recipients in the Willow Tree program. Supports recipient with learning, practicing, and implementing these skills to stabilize mental health symptoms and restore level of functioning. Clinical Supervision provided by Willow Tree Clinical Director - Mental Health Professional (MHP). • Follows the direction of Mental Health Professional, Stellher Coordinator • Communicates personal and cultural respect to recipients, family members, and co-workers • Obtains and completes intake form, privacy notice, releases, and other required documentation with recipient upon entering the program • Participates in treatment planning and reviews, provides recommendations to the client’s team regarding client goals, objectives and interventions. • Implements the assigned interventions in each client’s Individual Treatment Plan (ITP). • Conducts individual skills training to adults with a serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI). • Maintains detailed progress notes provided and on each client’s response to interventions. • Possesses knowledge of and ability to access community services for each recipient • Attends weekly clinical staff meetings with Stellher Coordinator and Clinical Supervisor and completes all training assignments for continuing education • Performs work collaboratively with recipients, family members, Stellher MHP, case managers, and other support staff • Assists client in developing and utilizing a crisis management plan when needed. • Observation of medications taken as prescribed by a licensed physician • Assists recipient in utilizing an established crisis management plan when needed
