Emerson Engineering Internship in Mansfield, Ohio

Emerson is seeking a self-motivated and diligent Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. Our interns are instrumental in aiding the design and development of innovative product concepts, applying your engineering competence and physical science knowledge. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Technical Contribution and Direction : Provide vital technical recommendations and direction in the design and development of new product concepts.

  • Conceptualization and Evaluation : Engage in brainstorming sessions to conceptualize innovative ideas, and evaluate the technical feasibility of concepts through stress analysis, operating limitations assessments, and other relevant evaluations.

  • Engineering Design and Documentation : Create and maintain engineering CAD models, drawings, and other necessary documentation throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Prototype Development and Testing : Assist in the development and testing of prototypes, and partake in redesigning iterations based on trial feedback.

  • Project Monitoring : Monitor your assigned project(s) meticulously from inception to product launch, which may span a few weeks to several months.

  • Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with stakeholders in identifying and organizing project requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Successfully completed Sophomore year of University, or above, pursing a degree in mechanical/Electrical engineering or similar

  • Commitment to a full time (40 hours a week) Summer internship experience in the Ontario / Mansfield Ohio Area

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Excellent computer skills and a technical curiosity that includes strong data gathering skills, expertise, interpretation, and reporting

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written.
