Insurance Regulatory Reporting Consultant Remote - USA,USA Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Statutory Reporting Subject Matter Expert (SME) with expertise in data migration processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insurance industry regulations, and statutory reporting requirements, and extensive experience in managing data migration projects within insurance organizations. Responsibilities: • Statutory Reporting Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely completion of statutory reporting requirements in compliance with industry regulations and standards. • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on statutory reporting processes, policies, and best practices within the insurance industry. • Data Migration Management: Lead and oversee data migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration validation to ensure seamless transition and data integrity. • System Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate data migration solutions with existing systems and platforms, ensuring compatibility and efficiency. • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with data migration activities, implementing appropriate controls and measures to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality. • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and streamline statutory reporting and data migration processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. • Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams on statutory reporting requirements, data migration tools, and processes to ensure proficiency and compliance across the organization. • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of statutory reporting processes, data migration methodologies, and project activities for reference and audit purposes. • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management, finance, compliance, and IT teams, to provide updates on project status, issues, and resolutions. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIA) preferred. • Minimum of 8 years of experience in insurance statutory reporting, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, Solvency II). • Familiarity with Worker’s Compensation regulations is a plus. • Proven track record of successfully managing data migration projects within insurance organizations, including data mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. • In-depth knowledge of data migration tools and technologies, such as ETL tools, SQL, and data warehousing solutions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity. • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Experience working with insurance-specific software and platforms (e.g., policy administration systems, claims management systems) is a plus. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
