Currently, we are seeking a motivated, career and team-oriented cybersecurity data engineer in support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Continuous Diagnostic & Mitigation (CDM) Data Services Program. The CDM Data Services Program is a critical component of CISA’s national effort to ensure the defense and resilience of cyberspace.

The CDM Data Services Program mission is to provide a standardized platform to collect, transform, and integrate cybersecurity data from relevant authoritative data sources into a coherent data, delivering actionable information into Agency and Federal Dashboards to identify risk areas in support of mitigation as well as to facilitate coordinated agency and national response to cyber-threats.

This is a remote position where the candidate can work from any location within the United States provided, they are able to work on an eastern time zone schedule.

Dashboard Test Engineer works with other ManTech service organizations, CISA, and Agency test representatives to facilitate and support the successful testing of CDM Solution. The Test Engineer provides support to various Federal Agencies and is responsible for executing established test plans and creating new ones.

Responsibilities

The Dashboard Test Engineer will:

  • Develop and execute test plans to validate software functionality against requirements and specifications.

  • Develop and execute automated tests and manual tests to collect metrics and generate artifacts for use by government Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testers.

  • Work closely with Automation Engineers to develop testing methods.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute a robust strategy for testing.

  • Develop, Document, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.

  • Develop and execute test plans to validate functionality against requirements and specifications.

  • Develop and execute approaches that promote efficient, effective software testing methods such as modular, unit, and regression testing.

  • Utilize integration tests to validate the implementation of the data requirements in accordance with the Interface Control Document and other documents.

  • Facilitate solution testing in ManTech cloud-based lab environments.

  • Deliver briefings to Agency representatives that describe how to verify CDM Solution data in the CDM Agency Dashboard.

  • Facilitate the successful completion of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Agency representatives.

  • Work with Agency representatives to troubleshoot issues identified during the UAT process.

  • Coordinate and facilitate Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) demonstrations with the CDM Test Team.

  • Provide feedback to ManTech service delivery teams and the CDM Test Team regarding updates to solution requirements based on the demonstrations of the CDM Solution.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in testing of software

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience testing in cloud-based environments including both load and performance testing

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with automated test tools for cloud-based solutions

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Elastic Kibana

  • Strong understanding of industry best practices related to testing and related tools.

  • Demonstrated hands on experience testing capabilities across varied COTS user and administrative consoles.

  • Experience with writing queries in SQL and other query languages (Elasticsearch KQL)

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite (including MS Office Suite, Visio, and MS Project).

  • Knowledge of IT systems management, particularly Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies as well as ITIL/ITSM experience

  • Extensive experience with SharePoint & JIRA

  • ITIL certification a plus

  • Must possess a self-starter mentality and be an effective problem-solver.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and work independently.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Security/Clearance Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen and pass a background investigation.

  • Able to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD)

The projected compensation range for this position is $100,800-$168,700. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
