About the Job



The Department of Theatre at the University of Minnesota Duluth seeks to add people to its pool of temporary instructors and/or assistant professors available to teach one or more of courses in our programs. Appointments may include day classes, evening classes, or both, depending on need and availability. Duties/responsibilities may include service to the Department and/or College. Term contracts only; positions contingent on funding. Note: Being a member of the pool does not ensure a contract will be offered; course offerings, and therefore teaching appointments, vary with demand and available funding.

Qualifications



Required Qualifications:
Required qualifications for these positions include a minimum of a Masters degree in from an accredited university in a relevant field at time of application and demonstrated experience working effectively with diverse groups in educational settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
MA in Theatre or a related field from an accredited institution. A minimum of one year of college teaching experience (graduate school teaching experience acceptable). Evidence of strong written communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups.

About the Department



The Department of Theatre is in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS) offers both a BA and a BS degree in Theatre along with a minor in Dance, and it contributes to other interdisciplinary offerings throughout the college.
