Occupational Therapist or Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) opportunity for our Cincinnati, OH outpatient center!

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Full TimeCertified Hand Therapist (CHT) or an Occupational Therapist with at least a Level II Fieldwork in Hand Therapy for our outpatient center.

CHT on staff at this center and a local group of OTs and CHTs creating a supportive network of clinicians.
must have completed a Level II Fieldwork under a CHT or have your CHT to be considered for this opportunity.
prefer 1-4 years experience OR New grad having completed LEvelII Fieldworkd in Hand therapy
We are looking for a dynamic occupational therapist that has experience with treating a hand/elbow/shoulder case load and a desire to study for the CHT exam, if not already certified.
Position based out of SMI location but will have opportunity for coverage at other locations around Cincinnati market.
We offer a highly successful mentoring program to assist you in obtaining your CHT certification.
You will be paired with a CHT mentor and will have access to such resources as an UE Journal Club and CHT Study Group.

Already a CHT? Our hand therapists have free access to the Journals of Hand Therapy and Hand Surgery as well as many others.

Responsibilities




Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how Occupational Therapists may practice and whom Occupational Therapists may supervise.
Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
Responsible for the supervision and delegation of occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
Demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.
Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs.
Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.
Enhances, develops, and expands relationships with referral sources and maintains a positive level of interaction with facilities and clients.
Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).


Qualifications




Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy
National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Valid state driver's license
