Job Description: |
The dispatcher schedules, coordinates, dispatches, and monitors Badger units within a defined region following national processes and procedures. This role requires the flexibility to work nights and weekends.Salary: $55-$62,000 yearly, based on experienceWhat You'll Be Doing:Manages dispatch calendar (Google calendar, etc.)Manages daily dispatch activities (availability and time approval by Branch Manager (BM), dispatching closest trucks, etc.)Converts opportunities to sales requests (SR) and confirms with owner (Outside Sales Representative (OSR) or Branch Manager (BM))Answers central dispatch phone line in a timely and professionallyProcesses requests from existing (standard) customersGathers and shares information with Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) and Branch Managers (BMs) for new or custom (non-standard) customers, to aid with customer service and communicationReviews job details (notes, PO, contract equipment needs, etc.) before dispatch and troubleshoots if items are missing or incompleteEnsures necessary operator training is complete and job site certificates have been obtained prior to work commencingManages 811 calls ("one calls")Monitors and ensures all jobs in Field Operations module have been started and completed per scheduleFollows-up with customers to ensure service satisfaction (end of day) and to inquire about future needsCommunicates with operators as needed regarding dispatch and with Ops and Sales as necessaryWhat You'll Need For Success:Education: high school diploma or GED1-2 years dispatch experience, preferredExcellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of conditionExcellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes, and personnelKnowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties, Oracle Field Operations module preferredAbility to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same timeAbility to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstancesAbility to relay information in a fast-paced environmentFully applies oneself to the requirements of the positionIf you feel you don't have the experience listed above, but still think you are qualified for the job, we encourage you to apply for consideration.What You'll Get In Return:Generous weekly pay and overtime opportunitiesLow-cost Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceRetirement Plan with Employer Matching ContributionsAttractive Vacation ProgramsInclusive Group Life InsuranceSupportive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that allows for covered behavioral health visitsRewarding Employee Referral ProgramValuable Employee Training Program(s)Per DiemEqual Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities
