Our client is in need of a Sr. Network Engineer/ Architect to join their team. This will be a 6 month contract to hire opportunity. Pay is commensurate with experience level.

location: BETHESDA, Maryland

job type: Contract

salary: $75 - 85 per hour

work hours: 9am to 5pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

Must have skills:

• Excellent knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 protocols and experience in designing and configuring AWS network infrastructure using dual stack and IPv6 only communication

• Advanced networking background in routing, load balancing and AWS technologies including: ELBs, DirectConnect, TransitGateway, AWS Firewall Manager

• Experience defining and designing AWS network architecture based on Federal compliance requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to create presentations for senior leadership and communicate information on the new and existing network infrastructure components to internal and external stakeholders

• Certifications: AWS Certified Advanced Networking (preferred), AWS Certified Solutions Architect (strongly preferred)

• Education: Minimum of Bachelor's degree, or higher, in a System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
