ABOUT THE COMPANY

Mrs. Gerry’s was founded in 1973 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Mrs. Gerry’s is a premier salad and side manufacturer and offers 120 different products which are sold coast to coast. We are looking for great team members who desire a friendly work environment and want to learn how we create delicious fresh potato salad, warm mashed potatoes, cold pasta salads, zesty dips and more. Our products enable families and friends to celebrate around the dinner or picnic table every day.

STARTING WAGE: $16.40

HOURS: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

DAYS: Monday through Friday

SUMMARY

Disassemble machines/lines for washing and sanitizing equipment according to standard operating procedures. The assigned chemical and duties are to prepare the plant for the next day operations. Reassemble machines/lines as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.

Know and follow HACCP and SQF programs.
Know and follow all Food and Safety procedures.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Sanitation (SSOPs).
Wear all required personal protective equipment. For more information see policy.
Know all chemicals and their uses.
Know cleaning procedures.
Disassemble and assemble applicable equipment for cleaning.
Monitor air and surface bacteria counts.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Must be accurate with numbers.
Must be able to learn and operate digital electronic equipment.
Detail oriented with an appreciation for neatness.
Should have or be able to obtain Pallet Jack and Forklift license.
Able to work independently.
Follow all food and safety procedures, including wearing of appropriate PPE.
Team player attitude and willingness to fill in as needed.
Have positive communication with others and timely reporting of concerns or questions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working near moving mechanical parts, occasionally exposed to extreme cold and heat (non-weather). The employee is occasionally working in high, precarious places, may encounter fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally employees may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, risk of electrical shock and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
