We offer competitive wages (with no experience). Kitchen experience will be considered in starting wage. This part time position is eligible for paid vacation, sick, holidays & floating holidays.
Job Objective(s)
The Cook team member handles all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures/standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food production. This position also does food prep for large quantities (similar to cafeteria or banquet preparation), helps deliver the meals to the buildings and washes dishes. Hours are 8:00-4:30 and/or 6:30-3:00 - no evenings. This position is 24 hours per week and works every other weekend.
Essential Responsibilities
Preparation along with food delivery and cleaning work area
* Summary of general responsibilities include but not limited to the preparation of meals, sanitation of food service areas, accurate record keeping, receiving, rotating/inventory of products.
* Adhere to production sheets and instructions, completing all tasks in a timely manner
* Monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste and quality are upheld at all times
* Maintains sanitary conditions to ensure safety and compliance with regulations; responsible for cleaning work areas and doing dishes
* Follows all local, state and federal policies regarding food handling
* Maintains Health Department standards of personal hygiene/health
* Transports insulated food containers on dollies to the various cottages and other locations on campus using a company vehicle
Qualifications
* High School diploma/GED & a valid drivers license
* Ability to handle multiple priorities
* Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
* Competent in organizational, time management skills
* Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
