Job Description:
Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag Equipment Operator to work in East Grand Forks, MN.
From: 03/15/2024 to 12/01/2024
Work: 48 hours/week, Mon. - Sat. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Hours may vary during the season, with work starting earlier or later based on weather and crop condition or other factors related to farming. Workers may be requested but not required to work at night or on their Sabbath or on Federal Holidays.
All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a full-time position and will assist in the raising of corn, soybeans, hard red spring wheat and sunflowers on a family-owned farm near East Grand Forks, MN. The worker has the responsibility, with a team, to operate various pieces of farm equipment including but not limited to seeding equipment, application equipment including a sprayer and fertilizer spreader, combine, tillage equipment and semi-tractors. This is all to assist in raising a productive and profitable crop. This person will need to be knowledgeable in and be able to utilize various types of ag-related technology. Regularly perform maintenance on the farm at regular service intervals. Assist in repairing and maintaining farm equipment and buildings. Operate and utilize precision agriculture apps and programs (like John Deere Operations Center). Various other farm-related job duties may be required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months prior experience running farm equipment is required. Valid Class D Driver's License required. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 lbs. Criminal background check after hire at employer's expense, due to expensive equipment and children on the farm. Possible random drug screen after hire at employer's expense. Failure to comply or failure to pass either the criminal background check or random drug screen may result in termination of employment. HS Diploma/GED required.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
