About the Job



The Center for Drug Design is looking to hire a qualified individual to work as a Research Professional in the Twin Cities.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform research projects according to established protocols. These will include (1) cell culture and cell based assays (2) enzyme based assays (3) mouse experiments involving drug administration
Directing and supervising undergrads and training new personnel and post docs when necessary.
Detailed data recording and report writing. Writes routine summary reports on results of work for inclusion in publications, grant proposals, and oral presentations and confers with supervisors on interpretation of results and avenues of investigation. Read scientific literature as necessary.
Actively participates in research efforts by exploring new possible approaches to problems or suggesting new interpretation of data. Assists in modifying existing techniques and procedures or in developing new ones.
Attend regular lab meetings and keep an organized workspace and lab notebook.
Salary: $36,000 - $41,000

Qualifications

Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in the biological sciences or closely related area or an equivalent combination of education and relevant research experience to equal four years.
Experience with cell culture
Experience with mouse handling and injections
Willingness to work on multiple projects
Must be highly organized and attentive in the execution of safety standards and laboratory work.
