About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a passionate marketing leader who is zealous about creating innovative, compelling, and motivating customer-centric content experiences. The Senior Manager, Content Experiences will supervise content strategy and execution teams, manage direct reports, oversee campaigns and programs, and represent Urology on enterprise-wide initiatives. The role is focused on translating business objectives into innovative, on-brand communication strategies and content experiences for Urology's B2B and DTC customers. This role requires deep experience in creative and content development as well as multi-channel content execution.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead the team focused on strategizing, architecting, building, and executing meaningful customer-facing content experiences
Oversee the team in guiding on-brand, business-driving creative development, content creation, and asset creation for our business unit's entire portfolio
Foster a high-performance team culture and identify opportunities to actively coach and develop talent
Formulate and execute annual and long-range content functional and campaign plans across our portfolio: collaborate with Director to set direction to achieve overall organization objectives
Champion Boston Scientific brand standards and ensure application to all assets
Serve as a trusted advisor on messaging, creative expression, communication strategies, tactics, and approach
Stay abreast of innovative ways to create and deploy content (modular, AI) and drive creation and adoption of new processes and ways of working
Identify, partner with, and manage appropriate resources (i.e., vendor relationships, other internal departments, etc.) to ensure that content experiences are seamless, customer-centric, technically-sound, data-privacy compliant, and meet business objectives
Communicate proactively to all levels of management and all stakeholders, managing expectations, timelines and logistics
Develop and maintain budgets while ensuring cost saving measures
Evaluate program impact and reassess objectives and outcomes; responsible for continuous improvement of the content experiences
Leverage and refine analytics and Key Performance Indicators for campaigns and content experiences, report on functional health and performance
Ensure Urology content experiences, maturity roadmaps, implementation, and enablement plans are appropriately aligned with other BUs and best practices are shared, globally
Contribute to leading, guiding and driving our content experience transformation and journey towards truly omnichannel, customer-centric experiences
Keep abreast of industry standards and trends as related to responsibilities, and communicate information to the organization
Effectively communicate and recommend fresh innovative and relevant ideas/plans to business partners and gain alignment
Play a thought-leader role by sharing knowledge and best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English or another relevant field
5+ years' experience leading, developing, and coaching a team with a minimum of 3 direct reports
7+ years of HCP and/or DTP marketing communications campaign management experience within the medical device, healthcare, biotech or pharma industries
Similar experience in creative services, consulting, product, or strategic marketing are also acceptable proxies
Marketing or agency / consulting experience of increasing responsibility
Solid understanding of brand management and principles
Deep experience developing content and materials from concept through production for multiple applications, with a heavy concentration on digital storytelling and asset creation
Demonstrated ability to lead, collaborate, influence and negotiate.
Strong collaborative, leadership, analytical, quantitative, financial modeling, and strategic thinking skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships at all levels in an organization (both internal and external), along with direct and indirect influencing to drive business objectives
Track record of success leading cross-functionally and with global partners to develop plans and strategies to maximize collaboration and program utility in the interest of future market adoption potential
Highly motivated with an action-oriented mindset
Exceptionally strong collaboration skills coupled with a "team-first" leadership philosophy
Travel (35%); US and Global
Preferred Qualifications
Med Device experience
Advanced degree such as an MBA, or a master's degree in communications, English or another relevant field
Prior digital strategic planning and program development experience
Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing tools (Marketing Cloud, Customer Data Platform, Interaction Studio), Adobe Experience Manager and WordPress
Thorough understanding of inbound & outbound email marketing, organic and paid search engine marketing, social media marketing, content marketing, website strategy, customer relationship management, webcasts/webinars, and more
