The Account Development Executive is responsible for strategic growth of existing mid-market accounts for promotional products, thus effectively maximizing Deluxe’s wallet share inside defined verticals. The role is also accountable for new account acquisition by identifying, pursuing, and landing new Storefronts for new mid-market Promo customers.

  • Manages and grows client executive relationships to drive expansion and renewals across all Promo solution areas. Identifies and exploits new opportunities within a customer's structure. Realizes revenue targets to maximize sales opportunities through connecting client needs with Deluxe offerings and solutions.

  • Develops business partner relationship with Mid Market clients; interacts with multiple contact points, internal and external. Understands and effectively maneuvers through the politics associated with competitive bids and existing vendor relationships. Demonstrates ability to address the complexities associated with the decision-making process. Differentiates between supporters and detractors and appropriately addresses each.

  • Generates pipeline of new revenue opportunities through Cold/Warm calls and leveraging internal lead generation channels including a list of named Enterprise account targets

  • Maintains a pipeline of early stage leads, forecasts potential wins. Understand unique challenges and business environment for the prospect (e.g., eligibility criteria, needs storefront specifications)

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and 5 years or HS/GED and 9 years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Marketing or Business

  • 5 years of Direct Sales, Promotional Products or Print Products

  • Builds rapport with clients, team members and leadership

  • Understands the client’s needs and offers a solution by matching product features and benefits to their pain points.

  • Takes a consultative approach and puts customer’s needs first

  • Is able to find leads and build a strong pipeline

  • Takes accountability for their actions, progress and results

    This role is not permitted to be filled in the following locations Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Colombia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
