The role is perfect for a high school student looking to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world business setting, with structured training and mentorship provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Structured Learning: Complete DataCamp training modules on Python, SQL, PowerBI, and Excel to build a foundational understanding of data analysis tools and software packages.
Freight Inbox Tickets Management: Act as the first point of contact for internal freight, traffic, and operations leaders by resolving tactical freight questions and software-related issues, akin to an IT help desk service.
Analytics Project Support: Assist in various analytics projects across freight, operations, and marketing by preparing datasets and performing basic analysis to support decision-making processes.
Data Lake Platform Support: Contribute to the implementation of a data lake platform by assisting with data retrieval, setting up data flows, discovering and documenting data to ensure a streamlined data management process.
Expected Learning Outcomes:
Develop basic competency in key data analytics tools, software, and languages.
Understand corporate freight and traffic management processes.
Acquire professional skills necessary for a corporate business environment, including office professionalism, public speaking, and business communication.
Gain hands-on experience in supporting large-scale analytics projects and data management solutions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Current enrollment in high school with completion of coursework in mathematics, including algebra and precalculus.
Previous part-time work experience in any field, demonstrating responsibility and the ability to work in a team.
Strong interest in data analytics and willingness to learn new technologies and software.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage time efficiently and work on tasks independently with minimal supervision.
