About the Job



This is a part-time, 20-hour/week position with the potential to transition into a full-time role in the future.

Student Compliance Tracking (60%)
Responsible for managing student compliance with site-specific experiential education requirements.
Work with students to maintain their compliance and proof of compliance with school and site-specific requirements.
Utilize data management and record systems to collect student compliance information.
Track and coordinate the sharing of compliance related information with practice sites as appropriate, including student roster completion.
Communicate the results of site compliance monitoring to the appropriate University staff in an effective and timely manner to ensure student completion of experiences and address any challenges.
External Site Negotiation (20%)
Responsible for interfacing with practice site partners to identify site requirements when proposed or changed.
Organize site requirement information to allow for communication to students and understanding by internal stakeholders.
Exclusion List (10%)
Responsible for running the exclusion list check once per month and clearing any conflicts in the report from the exclusion system.
This individual also ensures the exclusion software is up to date with the most recent employee lists and maintains the exclusion list software as needed.
Project Management/Organization (10%)
Consult with HIPCO staff, internal University stakeholders and external stakeholders for review of compliance needs for students or issues that arise during the process.
Organization, management and tracking skills are critical to the role to ensure that student records are up to date and compliant.

Qualifications



All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED and 5 or more years' experience in project management or related field. Coursework in a related field may substitute for some years of experience.
Organizational and project management skills.
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with challenging clients.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
Demonstrated self-starter able to identify issues and develop appropriate action plans.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong analytical skills.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Experience working in compliance, privacy compliance, or regulatory compliance.

About the Department



The Health Information Privacy & Compliance Office promotes the security and integrity of health information across the University through oversight, training and support. The office is responsible for developing policies and procedures, monitoring compliance and communicating and training university staff and students.
