Accountabilities: This individual, under limited supervision/guidance, offers engineering support for design, changes/modifications, quality issues, manufacturing issues, and regulatory affairs to maintain products utilized in the Compressed Gas Industry. Works with engineering support, and other departments, to ensure all products and processes meet technical, safety, company/customer, requirements. Ability to analyze, document, and communicate data from reports, research, and testing of new or modified products and new or modified production or process methods. Supply technical support for new product development, enhancements, cost reductions, and support of manufacturing and quality control activities.

Responsibilities:

Reviewing engineering change requests to ensure the proposed changes are systematically and thoroughly analyzed before beginning the change process.
Work collaboratively with manufacturing for efficiencies and to reduce product costs through design and process improvements, and issuing the required routing, work instruction, and/or drawing changes.
Works with Purchasing to approve Vendors purchased products, related specifications, and incoming inspection requirements for Receiving.
Support of Quality Control and the QCA system through quality Investigations of product performance, manufacturing, testing, design, vendor, or customer use issues.
Works independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines.
Designs and coordinates standard engineering tests and experiments.
Performs troubleshooting on products/process problems as related to design, material or process.
Summarizes, analyzes and draws conclusion from test results.
Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results to engineering/technical teams.
Responsible for engineering documentation.
Creates/designs concepts and designs for improvements on products/processes.
Support integration of new product launch.
Other activities as identified by management.
Keep up-to-date with Compressed Gas Industry standards and activities with participation in the Compressed Gas Association as one of the company representatives.

Required Skills:

Bachelor Degree in engineering or technology discipline
3D / 2D CAD experience (experience with Solidworks or Autocad)
Working knowledge of engineering drawings and bills of material
Use of basic office software (Word, Excel, Teams)
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) basics
Mechanical aptitude & metrology experience
Continuous Improvement philosophy
Experience in an industrial manufacturing machining and/or assembly environment
Understanding of Standards SAE, ANSI, ASME (MIL, FED, UL, NFPA, FDA, CGA, CSA, Din, EU)
