Job Description: |
TheAccount Executive AHA-MN Retention develops and executes proactive, strategic, and ongoing account initiatives which enhance/maximize sales opportunities. The Account Executive is responsible for on-going account management, including renewals, settlements, proposals, benefit exceptions and customer reporting.Serves as the primary point of contact for external customer relationshipsResponsible for on-going account management, including renewals, settlements, proposals, benefit exceptions and customer reporting. (where applicable)Develops and executes proactive, creative and ongoing account initiatives which enhance/maximize sales opportunities.Works independently to develop and execute client strategy.Provides recommendations to Functional Management and/or Senior Management.Accountable for development and execution of sales strategy for each group customer keeping in line with segment strategy.Builds effective relationships with customers/clients/brokers/consultants.Responsible for strategic and consultative presentations of AmeriHealth TPA products to customers and prospectsProvides professional presentations and/or open enrollments (where applicable) to a variety of audiences in various settings.Understands and meets all strategic initiatives and goals within segment, working collaboratively with segment team.Develops high level of expertise with sales competencies to ensure they are modeling the ideal behaviors and skillsUnderstands and effectively communicates rating alternatives and funding arrangements applicable within the segmentPartners with Underwriting for development of rate proposals and renewals and for development of renewal /cross sell/pricing strategies.Actively demonstrates comprehensive understanding of AmeriHealth TPA products, the competitive environment and the industryIdentifies health care and cost trends and actively seeks to develop solutions for are and or cost associated with the benefits planKeeps management informed of relevant opportunitiesMentors other associates in sales techniques, account management, and strategic thinking, to increase their competitive & industry knowledgeWorks with Associate Account Executive and Account Support Representative to ensure that all sales and account related issues are addressed and resolved.Accountable for utilization of CRM tool to maximize sales opportunities.Must maintain active sales license for position.QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience RequiredBachelors degree in Business, Marketing or a related field or equivalent work experienceA minimum of 3 years sales experience to include experience in health insurance/related industry where building relationships and renewing customers is essentialKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skills requiredDemonstrated ability to develop and facilitate presentationsNegotiation skills requiredDemonstrated ability to function in a high-volume, highly visible, deadline-oriented environment is essentialKnowledge of medical & ancillary products, services, and administration required, as well as a broad understanding of health insurance funding and rating methodologiesDemonstrated experience with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as CRM packages, such as ROAM requiredLicense / Vehicle RequiredCandidates must possess active MN State Accident & Health license or obtained within 60 days of hire into positionCandidates must have a valid drivers license and a reliable car and must have a cell phoneDepending on segment, extensive local and national travel is requiredSalary Range:$64,000 - $96,000Sales Incentive Eligible RoleBenefits include:Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coveragePaid vacation days and holidaysFlex vacation option401(k) retirement savings plan including company match, with immediate vestingPaid time off for volunteer workTuition assistanceShort- and long-term disability coverageLife and accidental death insuranceTravel accident insuranceAdoption assistanceFlexible spending accounts (commuter, dependent care, and medical)Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities
