About the Department

The UC 1819 Innovation Hub is the gateway to the University of Cincinnati, serving as the central nerve center for the Cincinnati Innovation District. Situated in a renovated former Sears, Roebuck & Co. structure and strategically positioned in close proximity to renowned research facilities, the 1819 Innovation Hub serves as a dynamic space for pioneering programs, resources and events. Students, researchers, and business professionals collaborate to foster connections, creating a thriving startup ecosystem that supports the Cincinnati region and beyond. Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati's 1819 Innovation Hub (1819) is seeking a new team member to help support the operations and visitor experience of the 110,000-square-foot facility. As the building's first point of contact with 1819 guests, the Concierge for Visitor Experience provides extraordinary customer service to current and prospective business partners, students, faculty and community leaders. The Concierge for Visitor Experience will support the operations of the 1819 Innovation Hub by ensuring building supplies and materials for meeting spaces are stocked and maintained; assisting in the set-up and teardown of meeting and event spaces; troubleshooting basic IT/AV issues in meeting spaces; managing logistics for events and special projects as assigned. The Concierge for Visitor Experience will develop a deep understanding of the day-to-day operations, programs and partners of the 1819 Innovation Hub.

Essential Functions


Gather and evaluate information and assist in determining priorities.
Coordinate and evaluate procedures and the use of facilities and equipment.
Perform research concerning procedures and practices, identifying problems and recommending solutions.
Serve as liaison for administrator in the interpretation of policies and procedures.
Coordinate personnel transactions.
Receive and reconcile expense statements.
Review and monitor expenditures on supplies, equipment, etc.
Perform other related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree

Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement

Required Experience

One (1) year of relevant work experience
